So today I was up, barley coherent to see the Chief Officer at 0600. Basically he said that they were not happy that people missed the meeting and that we were going to have another meeting tomorrow, and that we can’t get off the ship today and most of tomorrow. So, it isn’t the end of the world. There were about 10-15 people who missed the meeting, so I can understand why they would be upset. Note getting off today is not so bad, as I am really tired, and resting is not such a bad thing.

So we had a general drill today at 0930. That is boatloads of fun… Well in my scramble to get my lifejacket and get out of my room, I locked myself out of me room. The good thing was that one of the housekeepers was nice enough to let me back in after the drill. We had rehearsal for Dancing in the Streets after the drill. That started a little messy on account of I started the wrong tape. I was tired. We all were, in fact no one noticed until a good way into the music. It happens.

After rehearsal I went up for lunch, I was pretty darn hungry after not having breakfast. After lunch I went down to my cabin to rest, relax, watch a movie, nap a little and finally take a shower. It felt really good to have some down time. I mean it is fun to go out in port, but it is tiring too. I suppose the only consolation to only seeing Helsinki from the ship is that it was on the verge of raining all day, and this morning the city was totally fogged in.

The shows went pretty well tonight. we had a couple technical problems, like Stephen turning off his mic accidentally before going on stage at the top of the show. Other than that I think they were good. After the shows I went up to the Crow’s Nest to listen to Buddy play piano. As I was watching the world go by I noticed that there was a rainbow in front of the ship so I went up on deck to photograph it. It was pretty cool. The sunset was pretty cool too. I went back to the Crow’s Nest after it started to rain, and then home after a while. We go another hour forward tonight, so sleep is good.
