MV weekend

So Becca and I decided to head down to Martha’s Vineyard this weekend to visit with Uncle Jeff, Auntie Joyce and Nana and Papa. The ride down wasn’t so bad. I picked the girl up at work in Boston and we made for the Cape. It took us three hours to get to the Ferry, which, on a Friday afternoon in the summer is not to bad. We got in to the island and were picked up in time for dinner which was nice.

Thies morning Becca selpt in, which made her feel really good. Papa and I took the Hobie Cat out for a sail around in front of the house. It was kinda like a slalom course, trying to make sure we didn’t get in the way of the Edgartown Regatta that was going on. We came back for lunch, and then I went back out again with Becca. we sailed all the way down towards the channel into Edgartown Harbor, and then tacked back and sailed almost all the way to Oak Bluffs and the ferry pier. For there I could make a pretty good heading back towards our beach, though I hade to tack two more times to make it in.

It is nice to have something to do instead of sitting around the house like I was the past few days. Next weekend dad has tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s llive music show, Delirium, which should be fun. And Papa has Red Sox Tix for me on the 28th I think. So there are going to be things to do.

More Later.
