The China Adventure (or Pandemic Travels) #6

Quarantine Day 7

Half way to the end of centralized quarantine!

When you are sitting in a hotel room that you cannot leave, and the view outside your window is a pretty generic bit of highway, you could be anywhere in the world. For that matter your world is really just the room you are in. The only reminders that you are in China are the food and the twice-daily temperature checks.

Me

I seem to still have my wits about me, so that is good. It definitely helps to talk to Ruth and Ellie every day. Even if a lot of that is feeling like I am watching The Blair Witch Project as Ellie runs around with the phone.

I Even have my official release date and time, assuming that my next COVID test comes back negative. So now I can start planning the next phases of the adventure. Well, thanks to the Global Mobility team, a few of the next steps will be taken care of for me, which makes life a little easier.

So, today I did a bit of work in the morning, then lots more reading and more watching of TV shows. At this point I have finished the first seasons of The Right Stuff, and His Dark Materials. I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get to watching HDM. It is good. Finally a screen version that does the books justice! Next on the list: The Mandalorian.

By far the best thing that happened today was the care package that came from one of our client representatives: coffee! That’ll make tomorrow morning that much better.

Nothing else super interesting at the moment. How about some stats?
